“How Investors in People helps win business and develop people

Fujitsu is a business which “sells ‘professional excellence’”, so it is imperative that we are seen to operate at the highest professional level. Fujitsu was first recognised by Investors in People in 1992, and became an Investors in People Champion in 2006. The Investors in People framework is at the heart of all elements of the Fujitsu business – it is a core part of many new business tenders; it is a key tool for the effective integration of new employees transferred into the business under new contracts; and it underpins the People Development Processes that have led to Fujitsu having an award-winning and envied reputation for staff retention and development.”

Succes, dus.

“Fujitsu sees three key benefits from being an Investor in People:

  • Being an Investor in People is an indicator of business professionalism and is also a core requirement of a number of Government and other contracts.
  • The Investors in People framework provides an excellent tool in integrating new people into the Fujitsu organisation and culture.
  • The framework is a guiding light in helping to frame People Development activities for both new and existing employees – the most important asset of the Fujitsu business.”

Wallis: “Investors in People provides an invaluable support for so many elements of Fujitsu’s business. It has become irreplaceable in the way we approach new
business and in the way we integrate and develop our employees. Where Fujitsu seeks to provide outstanding levels of service to its clients, being an Investor in People
both prepares our people to provide that service, and gives potential clients confidence that we can deliver to their desired standards.”
